Don’t worry if you don’t have enough cash on you at the particular moment or if you really want to have some fun this weekend but at the same time not in a mood of spending a lot of money. We have the perfect solution for you. Just follow the steps below and organize a weekend most reliable for you.

1. Choose the Destination

In Single Student Budget it is really important to know the destination that you are going to. Since you are traveling by bus which is the cheapest transportation in Cyprus for Students, you must know from the beginning what you are planning to see today. Click here to navigate back to Entertainment and visit all the Cities to see what they have to offer to you and then choose which one you want to visit. After you choose the one that is interesting you, come back here to see which the next step is.

2. Transport

You are going to travel using Intercity Buses. InterCity Buses are the best way to travel from one city to another for a student. By showing them your student card or a confirmation that you are studying in a Public or Private University in Cyprus, you get 50% Discount on the normal route ticket. Usually the ticket cost 5 EURO one way, but for students is 2.50 EURO. You can buy a ticket directly on the bus. Visit the Official InterCity Buses Website for routes.

NOTE: Those prices, charges and discounts were last confirmed on 11 April 2015. For more info please visit the Official InterCity Buses Website

3. Food

By far you have traveled by bus to a city of your choice. The intercity buses are stopping right inside the heart of tourist area. For example in Larnaca they stop in Finikoudes, if you have traveled from the capital City and ended up in Finikoudes then you will be able to visit Makenzy beach, the Medieval Castle, restaurants, bars, coffee Shops, clothing shops, etc. just by walking around. You can taste the Islands “Mezedes” which you will usually find in taverns and traditional restaurants. They are tasty and it is a variety of different traditional flavors, but they are kind of expensive. Mezedes cost is estimated somewhere around 12 to 20 EURO. If you want some low budget traditional food, you can always find Souvlakia or Gyros for no more than 5 EURO approximately, everywhere on the island.

4. Attractions

By visiting any city of Cyprus except of the Capital one, you can see beautiful beaches and a lot of museums. If you are visiting those cities in summer then you can dive in the cool blue water of the Mediterranean Sea. If you want to make some sun therapy, make sure you bring your own beach mattress because usually you can’t find any available and if you find, then you are going to pay for it. Depending on some beaches it may cost around 1.50 to 4 EURO each. So it will be more economical for you if you by one in the kiosk and then use it for the whole summer period.
